Unfortunately we came on a 90+ degree day with a drought, but I am sure the island is beautiful. the Big horn sheep were really cool. I like nature stuff.
An amazing secluded place to visit in Montana! Great hiking. Very beautiful. A must visit if you can get out to the island.
Wild horse island is wonderful. We didn't get to se the horses because there ar only five on the island now. We didn't see the longhorn sheep because it was hot that day and they were laying low and in the shade. We didn't find them. We did see lots of mule deer and trukeys. The hiking was great. Flathead Lake is very pretty. The water is so clear.

Quiet island, pretty beaches, good walking trail -- about five miles total, easy. Volunteers there to enhance the experience. Good place to kayak over the 2ish miles from Dayton. Just mind any wind warnings. Ther s no water on the island, so bring enough. Or filter from the lake.
